Japan at UK is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for as many people as possible.
We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
This Accessibility Statement is effective from 6th December 2021.
1. Summary
On our website, https://www.japanatuk.com (our website), you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts
- increase text size and zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
- navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
- listen to most of the website using a screen reader
We have also made our website text as simple as possible to understand.

2. Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities (https://www.w3.org/WAI/standards-guidelines/wcag/). It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Our website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
